Rich arrived in Helper Saturday afternoon from the CCC can'p at Roosevelt, for a few days' visit with local relatives and friends. Miss LaThel Elliott was taken Salt Lake Saturday by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elliott, for medical treatment, and is in St. Mark's hospital, where she may be compelled to undergo a major op eration. Her many local friends sympathize with the popular local young lady and hope for her very early recovery. Miss Eva Gazel motored to American Fork Friday last, and on her return was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. William Frazee and their daughter, Uiss Kay, who are spending a week visiting at the Gazel home here. Drs. James Ruggeri and E. F. Gianotti, Bruce Moffitt, Chris Jou-fla- s, Frank Dalpiaz and Gus Tsan-gari- s enjoyed a fishing trip to Fremont Creek, near Fish Lake, last Sunday and report a catch of 68 fine trout. Melvin Jolly and Mrs. Glen Wolfe of San Diego, and Mr. and Mrs. Alma F. Jolly and Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Jolly of Provo were house guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clerico last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hewlett and sons, Austin and Harold, and daughter, Naomi, of Salt Lake, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wallace Sunday afternoon. They were accompanied by Thomas Brown of Los Angeles, who for the next month will visit at the Wallace home and with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Halverson. The Misses Josephine Martinelli, Inez Rugrutto, LaPearl Weeter and Marion Bonacci, held a watermelon bust in Crandal Canyon last Sunday afternoon. Mrs. John Ray and children, Betty and Billy, of Trinidad, Colo., are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Guide. Miss Helen and Miss Lulu Zeese of Salt Lake are making an extended visit with Helper friends.
