The fee, however, does not apply where peddlers are handling products raised by themselves, provided they present a signed statement to that effect from the agricultural agent in the county where the produce was grown. They must, however, pay a fee of $1 for loads not exceeding one ton; $2 for loads from 1 to 3 tons,, and $5 when load does not exceed 5 tons. Walter C.
