They have been running five laps everday to loosen up then two girls at a time run up and back across the gym. When they cross the finish line, the clocks are stopped and their times recorded. There will be 30 girls on the track team made up of mainly 8th and 9th grade girls with possibly a few seventh grade girls who have managed to develop sufficient speed.
