Show Janet Street Thursday, July Senior Gtizen Man takes street signs matching wife's name A 19 year old man, whose wife has the same name as a Helper street, found that taking a street sign has its consequences. Douglas Llewellyn Davis of Salida, Colo., who has been living at 609 D Street was apprehended and charged with criminal mischief by Helper police officer Harry Reddington early July 1 in connection with the theft of some Janet Street signs. A Helper man reported to police about 1:30 a.m. that two young men were tearing down street signs on Janet Street. Officer Reddington radioed to Carbon County Deputy 19. Bank vice president and manager Lee Roy Brown says workmen are busy finishing the bank before the opening will begin with official ceremonies beginning at 10:30 a.m. on July 19 to be broadcast live by a local radio station. The open house continues until 6 p.m. with a variety of activities planned. Among highlights of the oepning will be a money estimating contest in which open house visitors will have a chance to win valuable prizes including a color television set, a barbecue grill and a fishing combination.
