Sjggard, band director at College of Eastern Utah, will be instrumental coordinator for the 1973 United States Honor Band that will tour Euincpe ext summer, according to an announcement by J. Frank Turner, Santa Monica, Calif., president of American Music Abroad, Inc. The Honor Band, to be comns prised of talented young from throughout the U S. will tour Europe June 28 to mus-cia- July 23. The band will rehearse in Oslow, Norway, and will per form in the major citties of Holland, Germany, France and Switzerland. Prof. Siggard will also be the Utah coordinator for the band. Students interested in auditions for the band should contact him at the College. An instrumental coordinator for the band, Prof. Siggard, will be in charge of all techni wl and physical arrangements far rehearsals and performances. In addition he will assist with tne musical preparation of .he band. Mr Turner said " Prof. Siggard was selected for the position bceause of his demonstrat ed abilities in working with the young people, as evidenced by his national reputation as one of the outstanding music edu- president of College of Band Directors' Assn and is well known nationally as a clinician and tiircctor.
