As the general fishing season closes many anglers enjoyed themselves last weekend by fish ing through the ice at Scofield Reservoir. Among the fellows trying their luck were Dr. Bill Gorishek, Dr. Max Morgan, Joe Myers, Dooley Payne and son Johnny. Yoklovich, Louie Gor ishek and many others. I have been approached by many of these gentlemen who have asked Questions concern ing the feasibility of opening tne state waters tor year- - round fishing. One of the biggest problems of year around fishing is for the Division of Wildllifs Resources to supply fish for this type of operation. More muney would be needed to renovat3 som of the old hatcheries and build new ones. It's a cinch that many more fish would have to be raised. Manv of the fell ows suggested that an addition ai ice tistang permi. be available for those persons desiring to participate in the year around fishing this probably would help to some extent. Another nroblem wuulH he littering and pollution. It would oe necessary for everyone to govern themselves a. id other persons to help keep the outdoors clean. Necessary laws would have to be enacted to govern the size of holes that could be cut in the ice for safety's sake (The water and air this time of year is very cold). Also, the daily bag limit would have to be lowered, and during the time of spawning activities, and i.eu deterioration conditions the season should be closed. With the advent of the snowmobiles, access to the lakes and reservoirs has been made easier and winter fishing could become a major sport, b a t there again, it would be very expensive to produce enough fish for the year around fishing demands. FACULTY AND ADM, EVALUATED AT CEO Reversing the usual teacher grading student routine, the students at College of Eastern Utah are being asked to grade teachers. Forms on which students ran rate teachers on many qua'it- les such as friendliness, fairness, willingness to try new teaching ideas and methods and coverage of the subject, are oeing distributed to clashes. Results" will be analysed by an evaluation committee seeking to gain information to improve both instruction and at CEU, Dr. A LaVell King, dean of instruction, said. Along with the facuity, the administrative officials of the school will be rated by teachers and personnel. Qualities on which administrators wDI be graded include whether the administrator is av ailable to give assistance when needed, whether he acts with fairness and honesty and takes action upon requests. Others are: whether he promotes academic and professional freedom and makes effective use of the knowledge and experi- ser-ivc- non-teachi- FAUSETT GRANT C.
