It wa.s a distinctive pleasure and honor for the writer f this edbusiness and in civic work. itorial to have worked with Mr. Street An experience which has eiirh hed his life, and brought to mind very forcefully th(. type of an individual he is. It can be truly said that "M. I' Street, has been one of Helper's pioneer merchants during the past twenty years.' The position of esteem he holds with the officials of his company was manifest in a letter read from the main office in New Vork City, by the writer, in which his retirement from the company had been accepted. The letter was filled with kind Statements of praise and regret that he was leaving their employment, but glorified in ids decision to retire from active work and enjoy the remaining years of his life, and his life's savings. Regardless of whore Mr. and Mrs. Street may go; whether they and its leave; Helper eventually, or remain here, the community citizens who have become their friends, will wish them all that is pleasant for the remainder 0' their lives.
