Show THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, THE: HELPER 1939 x r spo s Toboggan, Ski Slides Completed Near Kenihvorth By NYA ; main to be done, but these will be taken care of wiihiu the next ' and the slides will be ready "for few-days-, The new ski and toboggan slides have been completed and as soon as sufficient snowfalls the slides will be ready for use, it was leported this week by NYA county supervisor, John Hardin, under whose auspices the work was done. The toboggan slide, 10UO feet long, and the ski slide, SuO feet long and 50 feet wide, will greatly enhance winter sports facilities in this section, as will the skating rink which has also 'been constructed under the NYA project near Kenilwonh. A few finishing bits of work re- - near Kenilworth use ;is soon enough snow is received, Mr. Hardin said. The ski slide which was to have been constructed in.Crantfall canyon has been dropped as an NYA project for the present, inaccessibility of the site being given as tne reason. Possibly construction will proceed next summer, after a road to the pro posed site has been improved. The lide will then be completed in time for use by skiing enthusiasts next winter.
