Tnrough adoption of a resolution offered by Commissioner W. A. Enjrle of Carbon county the officials agreed to abide by the rules and regulations prepared by the state and to cooperate in providing old age assistance, aid to the needy blind and dependent children. The rules and regulations will be forwarded to immediately Washington for the consideration of the national social security board. It is expected that approval will be given and the last barrier removed to carry out a program which will result in the distribution of millions of dollars in state and federal funds. The state's new social security laws become effective today, and although the plan based on them has yet to receive federal approv al, the state department will go ahead with the program, using its own funds.
