A. Knobbs was called to a house just below the eastern Helper city limits Tuesday noon to quell a miniature war between two Mexicans. One had been using a pair of shears and the other a knife, and both managed to do some perforating. When the officer arrived, one of the men had sucessfully barricaded himself and armed with an ax, was defying the other to "come and take it." Both men were arrested. They gave the names, Ignacio Cruse and Tiburcio Martinez. As the fracas was outside the city limits it belonged to the county, and Marshal Knobbs notified the sheriffs office at Price. Undersheriff Warren Peacock came for the prisoners who were lemoved to Price. The trouble is reported to have originated over rights to the basement of the house, rented and occupied by the fighters and their families. CASTLE GATE CHILD WON SECOND HONORS Mrs. Anthony Durney of Castle Gate this week received a letter notifying her that her daughter, Marlene Marion, had been awarded second prize for the state of Utah, in a national baby Kansas picture contest held at conCity by a large merchandising cern. This neighbor, contemplating her own parched lawn, is reported to have notified the city police, which brought City Marshal Knobbs to the premises being so copiously sprinkled. As the marshal approached, the lady of the house pointed to the rear. There the officer found the good woman's spouse manhandling a pump handle for all he was worth as the perspiration rolled off him. The water was coming from a well on the property, to which the hose was attached, not from the city water mains. well-know- Championship Not for Locals Helper's Junior Legion baseball hopes went glimmering Friday last when they went down to a 20-- 6 defeat at the hands of Ogden at Brigham City in the State championship playoffs.
