In order that the government may ascertain just what effect the depression has had thruout the United States, a business census is being carried on to determine the actual effect. W. F. Olson of Price county supervisor of this dis trict, is making a survey of the conditions in Carbon county. The census which will cover all establishments engaged in retailing, wholesaling, service business, amusement, transportation, financial institutions, educational institutions, professional and personal service, will be compared with a similiar survey made in 1929, when prosperity was at its peak. The report will cover the volume of business done in 1933, the num ber of people employed, payrolls and other expenses, stocks on hand. The blanks to be filled out ask eight questions, and all infor mation will be strictly confidential.
