Trainmaster Walter Allen of the Grand Junction division has just returned from a two weeks vacation on the west coast, and was a vUitor In Helper Tuesday. Trainmaster J. R. Loftis spent the last three days of last week branch super011 the Mnrysvaie vising the movement of 150 cars of government wheat sent Into that teritory to be distributed to the farmers as feed for their livestock, because of that area being badly stricken with drouth last year. A great many farmers In San Pete! and Sevier counties were entirely out of feed on account of the shortage of their crops last year, and It was noted that with the special train run to that territory last Thursday night the farmers were 011 hand at daylight, after arrival of the train, to get the wheat so as to immediately start feeding their stock. In many cases, the cars were emptied during the day and t he special train going hack to Salt Lake that night was able to pick them up and move them off the branch. Jack Best, formerly manager of the Soldier Summit hotel and lunch room, was a recent visitor in Helper, spending several days with ills daughter, Mrs. E. C. Gibson. Mr, Best now is manager of the lunch room at Minluru. Colo.
