Show x Nellie Christiapsen Is Buried Friday Impressive funeral services for Nellie Maren Christiansen, who died at the family home Tuesday of last week, were held in the Gunnison ward chapel Friday afternoon. Bishop Hy-rum Hy-rum Christiansen had charge of the ' sen-ices and speakers told of the deeds of kindness and eulogized the life of the one who had been called. Hyrum Fredrickfon, Ear Pickett, C. P. Larson of Centerfield, Pres. Chas. S. Hanson flnH Niels C. Mvrup, the speakers, dwelt long on the fine . character and helpful and loving j deeds of Miss Christiansen. Bishop Hyrum Christ:ansen gave a few brief remarks on her work in the ward and interest in church activities. Musical numbers, both beautiful and impressive, were rendered, the i opening song being "Lead Kindly j Light," by a quartet. Mrs. Niels Christiansen. of Manti, a sister-in-law j to the deceased, sang "Sometime We'll Understand," followed by a solo ! by E, L. Swalberg, "A Perfect Day," and the closing song by the quartet, "I Need Thee Every Hour." Innvocation was pronounced by I. , L. Henrie, and the benediction by Bishop C. A. Peterson of the Center-field Center-field ward. After the services at the chapel the remains were taken to the Gunnison City cemetery where they were tenderly laid in their final rest ing place. LaBriel Pickett dedicated the grave. Out-of-town relatives and. friends attending the funeral were: (Andrew Christiansen, a brother, Wenatchee, Wash.: Mr. and Mrs. Niels Christiansen. Christian-sen. Manti; Mr. and Mrs. James Sor-enson, Sor-enson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthnr L. Soren-son, Soren-son, Gena Christensen, Dora Weller, Rose, Anna and James Sorenson, and Herman Kesler and family of Redmond. |
