High School basketball standout Aaron Hill will be trading in his Salt Lake Community College uniform for an Oklahoma State outfit Last week Hill made a verbal commitment to play shooting guard for Coach Eddie Sutton and will make it all official when he signs a letter of intent on April 11 2001 Hill has been courted by several other major colleges including Gonzaga Wyoming Utah State Nevada University of Utah BYU South Alabama Alabama Birming- ham Southern Utah University and Wisconsin Aaron is thrilled with the opportunity to play for Coach Sutton "It was the best situation" he said Aaron had a chance to watch Oklahoma State in action against Texas last season and the crowd at the Arena really got his Gallagher-Ib- attention "They're crazy about basketball" he said "more so than here in Utah" The arena seats 13000 loyal fans "It's a sellout crowd every game" he said "It was louder than anything I've ever heard" Coach Sutton thinks Aaron will give the Oklahoma State fans something to cheer about with his deadly outside shooting While at Gunnison Valley Aaron made 193 baskets the second most three's in Utah High School e He was a history selection and and helped his senior year team to a record and a State Championship That year both the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News named MVP him the During his freshman year at Salt Lake Community College Aaron only averaged 18 minutes per game but still set an record of 100 in a season 12 points per game He led the Scenic West Athletic Conference in three pointers made with 53 in conference play shooting 45 from
