Show I Legion Members Announce Dance The Gunnison Guard Mount, local i order of the Aniorivan Legion, at a j regular business moot ins last Saiur- i day evening, made definite plans for a dance and a general good time for April Glh. This date is the anniversary anniver-sary of the entrance of the United States in the world war and the members mem-bers here will spare no efforts to make the festivities a memorable one. Those who belonged to the Red Gross and others who participated in events for the benefit of the soldiers while they were doing service, are especially invited to be present, and help make the dance a success. The "boys" are all out of the service ser-vice and are at home and it will be the first event where they have gathered gath-ered together for a gala time. Dancing Danc-ing is to be the main feature and it will he the chance to give the soldiers sol-diers a real "boost" in their endeavors endeav-ors to complete the object they wish to" attain. There are some twenty members at present and the organiza- lion is without a meeting place and it is the purpose to assemble sufficient suffi-cient funds with which to provide club rooms and a meeting place. There are yet a number of ex-soldier boys who have not as yet become members of. the Gunnison Guard and a "drive" is being planned to get every ev-ery man in this locality who was in the service to become a member. The following chairmen of the various var-ious committees have been announced: an-nounced: Arrangements, J. Ben Roper; decorations, R. M. Madsen; advertising, "Kelly" Rowen ; refreshments, refresh-ments, Mina Beauregard; stunts, Wilks Hofheins. Arrangements have been made for special music, for Ihe daneo and oilier oili-er features will bo drills and stunts which is sure to please all who at-I at-I end. |
