Tenn., News-Scimitar on October 6th, should prove interesting: "The other day a credit expert was in Memphis. He said merchants are making trouble for themselves 1 by being so free with credit. They make it possible j for most anybody to buy most anything, he said, and then pay for it as best they can. "Yesterday two firemen were listed in the bankruptcy bank-ruptcy column. One listed debts of $1,400, the other of $1,800. The latter listed two pleasure automobiles auto-mobiles among his assets, and perhaps they typify the reason for so many bankruptcies among persons of comparatively small incomes. "You can't mortgage the future forever and get away with it. The sooner folks learn to make the present pay for itself as they go along, the better off they will be." Enjoying the savings that come from paying as you go is building substantially for the future. Dr. J. L. LEWIS EYESTRAIN SPECIALIST of Salt Lake City will make regular trips to Gunnison every month in the future, and will be prepared to give first class optical service. On my first regular trip I will conduct eye examinations at the Gunnison hotel MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15 School children FREE if accompanied accom-panied by parents. A A .J.
