Show Missionary Frozen to Death. Seattle, Wash. Fairbanks, Alaska, papers just received give details of the death of Martin Harris, aged 60, a native of Tennessee, who died at his camp among the Indians at the head of Nabesna river, after suffering freezing freez-ing of both feet in a journey from Ta-nana Ta-nana Crossing. Harris, a man of education edu-cation and means, was establishing a mission among the Indians in co-operation and in connection with Episcopate Episco-pate Bishop Rowe. He obtained valuable val-uable mines in the Copper river country, coun-try, for one of which he and two part-! part-! ners had been offered S150.0UU. The I Indians were deeply attached 10 him. |
