Show Gunnison to Honor Nation's Birthday The mayor and city council have provided for a celebration of the 4th of July by appointing the following committees: Program and Artilery Mayor J. M. Knighton, E. L. Swalberg. Fiuance and Decoration A:r II. Kearns, James Bown, Niel Soreuson, M. D. Beauregard, W. H. Gribble, H. A. Christenson. Sports Howard Roberts, Bay B. Metcalf,L. Ludvieson, Ellis Merkley, Martin Peterson, The day will is to be ushered in by a round of artilery under the direction direc-tion of Captain Emil Rosenvall. The cicy marshal will have in hand at sunrise the duty to hoist Old Glory , The band will commence a serenade of the town at 5 a. m. A dance for children will take place in Peterson hall at 3 p. m. A ball game at 4 p. m. will be played play-ed by Gunnison team against one from Marysvale. Horse racing and other sports will be held following the ball game. Exercises will be held in the forenoon fore-noon under the B. S. hall bowery, commencing at 10 o'clock as follows: 1, Selection, band. 2 Prayer, Chaplain Paul E. Nel son, 3. Selection, band. 4. Double quartet. 5. Declaration of Independence, reading by Mrs. Emily Anderson. . 6.' Song, E. Swalberg. 7. ORATION, Ellis Merkley. 8. Song, The Star Spangled Banner," Ban-ner," Mrs. Emily Knighton.
