Mrs. Edwards has car-ried car-ried on a successful business In the millinery line since removing here several years ago from Emery. Mrs Edwards hopes to do still better where she Is now locating and the community here, though reluctant to part with so good a citizen and business busi-ness woman, we are sure will extend best wishes for her future success Mrs. Emily L.Knighton will continue the millinery left by Mrs. Edwards. Jay, who left here Sunday for Salida, Colorado. Sewing and cards passed the time pleasantly and a dainty re-freehment re-freehment consisting of ice cream, fruits and candies was served. An excellent program of solos, choruses and instrumental selections will be rendered, ren-dered, after which a dancing pro-gram pro-gram has been arranged, Refreshments Refresh-ments will be served. Excellent Music. The sum of twenty five cents will admit one person to both concert and dance. All are invited to attend. LOCAL ECHOES. Dr. Peck has taken office rooms in the Erickson building. A special term of the District court convened at Mantl Wednesday and a number of probate matters w ere disposed of. The Cieofan girls gave the boys a chicken supper last night and served Ice cream during the evening's enjoyment, enjoy-ment, which was in the form of an April Fool party. Mart J. Sorensou came in Friday from Montello, Nevada, where he is employed by the Utah Construction company as supervisor of their sheep flocks. Mr. Sorenson has been employed em-ployed with the company for the past three years, which keeps him from home a greater share of his time. The officers of the Mutual Improve-m Improve-m nt association of Gunnison met for the transaction of business Tuesday evening at the home of President Ernest L. Swalberg Following the transaction of business Miss Elma Fjeldsted entertained with a piano selection and Mr. Swalberg with a solo. Mrs. Swalberg then served the officers with dainty refreshments. We are in receipt of a beautifully engraved invitation to the Graduating Graduat-ing exercises qf the Kansas City Veterinasy college Thursday evening-April evening-April 8. The name of our townsman, Ralph C. Swalberg appears among the list constituting the class roll. We here congratulate Mr. Swalberg upon his success in graduating from an in- i institution of foremost rank, The I faculty of this college consists of twenty-three members.
