Show $10,000 GUARANTEE Jesse Knight said this morning, in speaking of insinuations mads against the sincerity of Simon Bamberger to the efiect that he will not, if elected, carry out his party pledges and his personal declarations declara-tions on the platform relative to the enactment and enforcement of prohibition laws:- "I will put up a certified check for $10,000, to be forfeited to any charitable institution, if Mr. Bamberger does not live up to his party and personal pledges. I mean this. I am willing to risk $10,000 on Mr. Bamberger's integrity. I have more faith in Mr. Bamberger than I have in a man who will bury his party because of its corruption and then dig vip the grave and get into it with the corpse. (Signed) JESSE KNIGHT Provo, Utah, October 27, 1916. (Political Advertisement.) BEWARE OF ROORBACKS, The Republican County Committee emphatically says that it has carried on a straightforward, honest and clean campaign. The Party has no apollgies to offer for any of Ks candidates. They ar all clean and upright men. They have made no trades or alliances whatever. Every one of them stands squarely for the whole ticket, from the top to the bottom. They have made no promises, except the promise to serve the public to the best cf their abilities. Mr. Jesse Knight, in a published advertisement, has offered a $10,000.00 guarantee that Mr. Bamberger, if TIM0TY C. H0YT Republican Nominee For Congress, a Man of the People. ACQUAINTED WITH CONDITIONS CON-DITIONS OF THE WFST. Every voter in Sanpete county should cast his or her ballot for Timothy C. Hoyt, the Republican nominee for Congress from the First district, because he a man who is splendidly fitted to represent theia Interests in Washington. Unfortunately, owing to the severe illness of a memher of his family, Mr. Iloyt has been compelled to absent himself from the stump during most of the campaign. But he is known to many people in this section, and all speak in the highest terms of his qualities. Mr. Hoyt studied lanv and was elected County Attorney of Kane county, Utah, while he was yeton on a mission In Texas, in 1902. But upon up-on the expiration of his term he entered the Forest service, being appointed ap-pointed Supervisor of the Dixie and Farm For Sale My farm comprising 130 acres, partly part-ly cultivated, is for sale very reasonable; reason-able; also 3 horses, 3 cows, 1 new wagon, 1 new set double harness. S. P. Jensen, Centerfield. Advt. The whirlwind campaign of Judge Wm H. King through this county accomplished ac-complished no good for the Democratic Demo-cratic cause. When he declared with great elo quence and a flourish of fine language that the prosperity which the country now enjoys is due to the maginiflcent legislation of President Woodrow Wilson, every person within with-in the sound of his voice knew other- elected, will live up to his platform pledges; havlBg reference especially to the prohibition plank. Mr. Nephl L. Morris does not need any 6uch guarantee from a millionaire mining man. His life, his work and his character, well known by this time to all the people of of UJah, are all the guarantee that the people ask. Our opponents, in the last hours of the campaign, will make extravagant claims, as tr,ey have always done before; be-fore; but everything clearly indicates, a decisive victory for the Republican, ticket county, state, district and nation, Dilworth Woolley, Republican County Chairman. The war and the war alone, as every child in the country C3n tell him, is the cause of the prosperity. The voters, furthermore, remember the near-panic near-panic during the first fourteen monthsof the Wilson administration, due to the Underwood tariff bill. When he thanked God for Wilson because he has kept us out of war, everybody knew that Wilson's policies poli-cies have led us into war with the only country with whom it was possible possi-ble for us to go to war. We need not be told, because we already know, that Mr. Wilson has done and is today to-day doing the very things that lead to war In Mexico. His assertion that the Republican party wants war is the rankest kind of buncombe. The Republicans love peace as dearly as do the democrats.
