Show council appoints new inspector at a regular meeting of the city council this week nelson la nite was appointed city building inspect tor mr la nite is owner and oper ator of the la nite plumbing and heating co the office was recently left vacant by the resignation of mal colm operator of the green biver river texaco service station the office requires the official inspection of all el elect ectrial nal plumbing and building within the city limits and pays fifty dollars a month the standards used are the uniform building code national electric code and the national plumbing code the city building inspector is app hinted by the city council and works directly under the supervision of the city planning board which con the issuance of building per nuts mits the city planning board con fists of howard silliman chairman jack mckay harold anderson geo rge hatch and harry tasker the council also passed a motion in regard to its boondry lines the motion was made by alma scovill and seconded by james hurst it was passed by a unanimous vote of the councilmen present it read as follows that the city go on record by stating that it favors the policy of accept ing the general area east and west of the city limits providing the statutory number therein re siding is in favor when the water and sewer facilities are sufficiently expanded to take care of the add needs the city recently relieved reci eved a pro perty lease from the railroad which clears the way for the construction of a new city Filter atlon plant the plant will increase both the quality and the juanity of the water it was reported the city council agreed to aid the american legion auxiliary by helping them lay out plans for the naming of the city streets and the numbering of the houses a worthy project undertaken by the auxiliary |
