Show In choosing W. Mont Ferry president of the new council, the members who attended the caucus cau-cus called to select a new head, acquitted themselves admirably, and their choice has met with general popular approval. His record in the council the past two years is one to which the new president may "point with pride" and his re-election for the coming term was sufficient testimonial of what his constituents con-stituents thought of him. He is one of the city's most prominent business busi-ness men and knows exactly what is necessary to make it a very much greater Salt Lake. Withall he has a record for fairness and conservatism, and it is thought will make a splendid presiding officer. To the retiring president, A. J. Davis, is due great praise for the way he has handled the council coun-cil in the past. He has served for two terms in the capacity of president and his ability and impartiality have won him a host of friends among all factions. |
