Be It ordained by tho City Council of Sn1' 'ako City, Utah: cuutlon 1. That tho City Council doos horeby levy tho tax and provide for the assessment of tho same upon tho prop-erty prop-erty hereinafter described in Lots Nos. 5, G, i and 8, Block G6; and in Lots Nos. j 1 and 2, Block 79, Plat "A." Salt Lako City Survey, abutting on both sidos of First South street between Second West and Third West .streets, in Sower Dls-trlot Dls-trlot No. 1, said-4 property having a frontrtgo of 1,179.75 feet along said streot. This tax Is levied to defray tho ex-penso ex-penso of constructing a vitrified pipe sower oJght (8) inches in diameter upon j said portion of said streot opposlto tho property hereinafter described to bo os-peclally os-peclally afTected and benefited by said improvement, and It is hereby adjudged, i determined and established that tho same will bo especially boneflted therc-by therc-by to tho full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and unl-form unl-form rate in nccordanco with the linear j fdbt'frontago upon said portion of said j street fronting upon and to a dopth of 1 twontyllvo (25) foot back therefrom, and the tax hereby lovled and to bo as-sosscd as-sosscd upon said parcels of land Is one thousand llvo hundred thirty-throe and G8-100 ($1.533. G8) dollars, or one and 30-100 ($1.30) dollars per front or linear foot, which is tho estimated total cost ' and estimated cost per front foot of said sewer; and the Treasurer is horeby authorized and directed to assess in nc- cordanco with tho provisions of this ordinance for tho purpose herein men-Pi men-Pi tioned all of Lots 5, G, 7 and 8, Block 6G; W and all of Lot 1, and tho oast 189.75 mtf feet of Lot 2, Block 79, Plat "A," Salt . Said tax shall become and bo delinquent in six equal installments, as follows, to-wlt: One-sixth theroof shall bocomo and bo delinquent ono month aftor tho approval of this ordinance; ono-sixth thereof in ono year after such approval; ono-sixth thereof in two years after such approval; ono-sixth thereof in throe years after such approval; ap-proval; one-sixth theroof in four yoars after such approval; and one-sixth thereof in flvo yoars after such approval. approv-al. Each and ovory installment of said tax, except tho first, shall draw lntor-ost lntor-ost at tho rate of six per cent par annum an-num from date of levy until delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum fvom and after Its date of delinquency. AN ORDINANCE. . AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND re-enacting Section 294 of tho Revised Ordinances of Salt Lako City of 1903. Bo it ordained by tho City Council of Salt Lako City, Utah: Section 1. That Section 294 of tho Revised Ordinances of Salt Lako City of 1903 bo and tho saho horeby Is amended and ro-enacta'l so as to read as follows: Section 294. Duty of Health Commissioner Commis-sioner (See Nuisances, Section 48G). Tho Health Commissioner s 1 bo the executive' officer of tho Boaru. Ho shall take notice of all ordinances relating to tho snnltary condition of tho city and enforce tho same, and to this end ho Is hereby authorized to enter, in the daytime, any promises, houses or buildings build-ings In tho city or within fivo miles thereof; ho shall issue all necessary permits for tho burial, romoval or other disposition of tho bodies of deceased persons. Tho Health Commissioner Is also authorized au-thorized to employ one competent nurse for tho Isolation Hospital at a salary of $100.00 per month, and a steward for said hospital at a salary of $75.00 por month, and a cook at said hospital, at a salary of $50.00 per month, all such employes to bo employed during the pleasure of the City Council. Sec. 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to tho oxtont of such conflict. Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect ef-fect upon approval.
