and upon the prospects for sugar beets this fall Mr Holmgren outlined many of the difficulties that fanners have to meet such a changing seasons and weather possibilities of too early or too late irrigation and trouble getting ditches cleaned and filled with water at the proper time of year He declared that the damage to the beets this year was not caused by the white fly as many supposed but by the excessive heat and long dry spell Mr Gad die announced that the beets are today testing one percent higher in sugar content than at any time last year and that by digging time they should go
