We joined the Pugsley family in paying tribute to Mr Sc Mrs Roy P Pugsley on -- their golden wedding— anniversary We got in on the family dinner because I am an adopted granddaughter of the original pioneer family to the valley Jacob and Louise Kunzlcr My grandparents all being dead before I was born I adopted this couple when I was a child so this and the fact that Mr C is bishop let us in for a wonderful time The nine children of the couple four sons and five daughters Phillip Pugsley Garland Jay Pugsley RoRex Pugsley Burley Ida sette Dr Richard Pugsley Pocatello Ida Mrs Frank (Eve lyn) Monson and Mrs Carl (Klea) Bishop both of Moses Lake Wash Mrs Reed (Eloise) PaTremonton lmer Frank Mrs (Bonnie) Hill Logan and Mrs Alma (Edna) Palmer Park Valley did the planning and carried out a most successful day and evening of events— The brothers and sisters of Mr Sc Mrs Pugsley the couple’s children and a few close friends gathered on the spacious lawns at the Pugsley home (Louise’s well cared for flowers were beautiful) A full course dinner was served on attractively arranged tables on the grounds to approximately 96 people In the evening the recreation room of the chapel flowed with relatives over and friends who came to pay respect to the couple A wedding cake topped with wedding bells formed a centerpiece on a lace covered table and golden stars were used in decoration The evening was spent in visiting dancing enjoying a program and the wedding cake and punch that were served Mr & Mrs Pugsley are both enjoying good health — One of the special enjoyments of the occasion for me was seeing and visiting with Evelyn and Klea— I room to name all had Wish the folks who came and we were to see so happy The ward Primary under the direction of their officers presented a most pleasing program in evening services Sunday Mrs Inez Brown stake Primary presAfter ident was in attendance the meeting the young people ol MIA age gathered at our (KG Carter) home for a fireside The program was under the direction of Rhea Kunzfcr Mrs DeLila Hunt and family of Salt Lake spent the weekend at the home of Antone Olague— Sue and Amy Rasmussen of Brigham City spent the weekend here with their grandparents the Joseph Palmers — The J H Kunz lers are enjoying a visit with their daughter Marjory Yost1 and family of Ogden who are spending a few days here— Mrs Marvell Carter and baby daughter Joan of Brigham are spending the week here with her mother Mrs L G Carter— Miss Emma Louise Carter left Sunday after- noon for Boise Ida where she will attend a teacher's convention We are enjoying a visit from our daughter Mrs Kent (Alfa Jean) Carter and three granddaughters of Garland who are spending the week here while the man of the house joins his father Gordon R Carter and L G Carter from here and La Chester Boss of Garland Mar Mason of Tremonton on a Wind way— River fishing trip up line a Speaking of bait and basket of washing awaits me!
