the region enjoyed one of the rare treats of the year at Garland Wednesday evening Well trained high school choruses presented a full evening program before the critical ear conducof J Spencer Cornwall tor of the famed Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir receiving the benefit of his criticism and comments as' taken down by two assistants as the numbers were sung All numbers were declared of a high standard by the audience which nearly filled the auditorium with unanimous approval going to the Bear River High School a cappella singers' Of this group Mr Cornwall stated in his analysis: “It is almost flawless in every particular One number by it he stated was “particularly elegant” and of one of its Negro spirituals he wrote “It can only be evaulated in terms It is ecstatic superlative in the extreme” No ratings were given at the festival Its purpose was stated as the enjoyment of the music and for the purpose of having an expert musician give helps for the several conductors WILL
