Show Garland Junior High School In our last Issue wo omitted an important phrase In tho article ar-ticle entitled, "Opening of Public. Pub-lic. Schools." Sentence flvo in paragraph three should havo read: "There is no better place anywhere for Box Elder county boyB and girls who havo completed com-pleted tho work of the grado schools, than the Junior High School at. GARLAND or tho Junior High School at Brlglmm City." It was a mero over-Bight over-Bight that wo failed to mention tho Garland Junior High school. The Globo has every reason to boost tho Garland school and wo regret that this error crept in. In tlie past wo havo ardently championed tho cause of education educa-tion and our columns aro always open to matters that pertain to the welfare of our splendid school system. Wo were among the flrst to see tho need of bct-ter bct-ter high school opportunities In this end of tho county, and wo shall not cease until a full 4-ycar high school Is established in our neighborhood. Wo need It; wo must have It Tho quality of I tho work done by our flrst-yenr high school students is as good atho 'work dono anywhere- )j 'the state. Students havo 'gono from hero to higher schools of Idaho and Wyoming and different differ-ent parts of tho stato and havo received full recognition as second sec-ond year students. Tho Garland schools Junior and grado aro ofllclent and nro growing, but wo shall not bo content until the Board of Education yields to the demands of tho people and grants us a HIGH SCHOOL. |
