Show Garfield Leader, Garfield, Utah Friday, May THE SOCIAL SCENE What The Women Ceremony Unites LaJuana Isakson And George H. Badger Thursday Honored At Party Miss At a double ring ceremony in the beautiful Salt Lake LDS Temple Thursday, May 7th, Miss LaJuana Isakson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Isakson of Magna, became the bride of George H. Badger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Badger of Holden, Utah. A reception that evening honored the young couple in the North Jordan Stake House. The bride was lovely in a ballerina length gown of French lace over taffeta, the bottom emphasized by a double tier of scallops. Her veil of brideY illusion was caught back by orange blossoms and formed a cap of net and seed pearls. Her bouquet was an orchid encircled by stephanotis. Bridal Attendants The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Iva Mellor, matron of honor, and Miss Rosemary Badger, a sister of the groom, was maid of honor. They wore identical ballerina length gowns, Mrs. Mellor being tracked in gold lace over matching taffeta and Miss Badger chose rose lace over taffeta. Lonnie Badger, a brother of the groom, was best man. Mothers' Drosses Mrs. Isakson chose a pink creation of net over taffeta and Mrs. Badger wore a rose colured crepe. Their corsages were carnations centered with a pink gardenia. Little Sherida Mellor and Sharia Isakson were flower girls, dressed in floor length flowered organdy of lime and orchid. Ushers were Robert Isakson, Bevan Chipman and Darley Bowen. Stanley Mellor acted as master of ceremonies and introduced the following program numbers. Song, The Sweetheart of Cesta Tie, by members of the bride's sorority, Cesta Tie; two songs by Charlotte Anderson; a reading, LaJuana by Mrs. M. F. Orr and a song by Shirley Lamb. Parties Honor Bride The bride was further honored Friday at a personal shower given by Mrs. M. Palmer of Salt Lake City and a kitchen shower Monday complimented her, by Mrs. Curt Anderson at her Hunter A lovely birthday party was given Saturday, by Mrs. Cora Bouck honoring the ann:versary of her granddaughter, Dinah Lee Bouck. A cake with ten candles was placed in the center of the luncheon table and party refreshments were served to Dwight Empey, David Thomas, Dean and Mary Gardiner, Shannon and Wynne Page, Irene Kelson, Carol Herzog, Sally Anderson, Cora Lee Washborn, Mary Salm, all of this community, Phyllis and Dean Johnson, James Hanes uf Tooele and Steven and Billie Bouck of Salt Lake. Mr. Parley Dalrymple of Sunnyvale, California, visited several days last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. N. Dalrymple.
