Diane Burke Wed In Lutheran Rites At a prettily planned reception Monday evening at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum J. Newton of Hunter, throngs of wellwishers gatnered n to offer congratulations to well-know- newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Donald F. Johnson. The bride, the former Diane Burke, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Burke of Magna. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Johnson of Iowa. The couple exchanged wedding promises at evening nuptials in the Zion Evangical Lutheran Church, 164 South 4th East, Salt i Bil-lisc- o, WWWVWVWVWWVWUVVk LOCAL MAIDS PLAN GALAXY OF JUNE WEDDINGS Lake City. The Reverend Eric Hawkins officiated at the ceremony. Traditional bridal music wu played by Mn. Frank W. Asper at the pipe organ, and the church was beautifully decorated in pink and white peonies and poms, White peonies with white satin ribbon marked the family pews, and the altar was banked with white carnations. Preceding the bridal party down the church aisle were three little flower girls, Mary Jane New' ton, frocked in eyelet over pale green; Joan Newton, who wore eyelet over pale blue and Susan Newton, dressed in eyelet over orchid. They carried like bouquets of pink and white carnations. The bride was lovely in white satin, fashioned with an overskirt of nylon tulle with lace panels, a lace and satin bodice and long pointed sleeves. Her waist-lengveil was held in place with heart-shape- d cap of nylon tulle lace over satin, which was traced with tiny She carried an unusual permanent flower nosegay, fashioned by her great-aun- t, Mrs. Beth Johnston of Van Nuya, California. The flowers had castir.y hand-mad- e cading white satin streamers. Miss Barbara Larson was maid of honor and chose green organdy wi.h full skirt, basque waist and ouffed sleeves. She carried a pink and white carnation bouquet Miss Jackie Brown, bridesmaid, wore pink organdy and a like bouquet Louis Turner acted as best man and ushers were Billie N. Burke, brother of the bride, and Dick Schroder. The brides mother chose pink lace and wore a small white hat The bridal party received their guests before the mantel which was decorated with pink and white peonies, white carnations with tapers at either side. The living rooms were colorful with gladioli, peonies and the serving table was covered with a Madiera lace cloth with a tiered wedding cake in the center, circled with sweetheart roses and white tapers. Mrs. Billie Burke, Miss Shirley Orr and Miss Jeanne Hatton served. The gift room which was decorated with Dutch iris, was in charge of Jayne Ann Newton and Ann Newton and Miss Joyce Lewis officiated at the guest book.
