The number of calls which operators of Mountain States Tel. phone Company will handle h:re (in Christmas Day is expected to be very large, according to Mr. O. K. Futherimsham, local manager of the telephone company. Knowing how much these , calls the telephone people will do their best to get the calls through with the least pisrible delay. ''We are preparing for the additional holiday phone calls," Mr. Fotheringham said. "Circuits are being rearranged and additional ones put into operation. The telephone operators will be at the switchboards giving us part of their holiday, doing everything they can to get the calls through promptly." Long distance telephone service today is faster than ever before. However, the heavy holiday calls volumes of may possibly result in delays on some calls to points outside Utah. Mr. Fotheringham suggests that those who plan to call this Christmas will be assured of getting faster service if they will make their calls before Christmas Eve or after Christmas Day. Long distance rates are lower all day Sunday, December 23, which provides a special opportunity to make calls before the holiday rush. Magna-Garfiel- Twenty-seve- n Final Kites Magna Telephone Co.
