Dave says we have lots better ball players here than in Oregon where he is living now! He reports that his folks, John and Margaret Townsend, are both doing well. (Cindy and family too!) Carlyle Shurtz, Sandy, visits his home here quite regularly. Marilyn Jackson is home again for a while too. She says she doesn't like traveling in that big truck on icy roads! Cal and Martha Schow, Dan and Lois Spencer, Daryl and Mary Shumway and Mary's twin brother and his wife, Mark and Chloeen Bybee, Monroe, just returned from a short trip to Mexico. They went by way of Yuma, Ariz., back up by Loffland and home . Helen Shurtz is the great-grandmother great-grandmother of a new set of twin boys! The grandfather is David Ray Shurtz and his daughter Sandy, Hereford, Tex., is the mom. Both little boys weighed in at around 6 pounds and both are doing well. He hurt his leg quite badly. Kathleen says they won't be going many places until his leg heals. Also on Feb. 7, our school took a bus load of kids to Brian Head to ski and snowboard. Shelley Griffin went with them and I heard her say she had "been there and done that and probably wouldn't have to do it again." You should have started doing that earlier in life, Shelley! |
