Martha Twitchell is home with her sore feet but is Retting along ok. daughter Joyce Tooman came to care for Lovell while she was gone. Reeves and Laura Haker had daughter laurel and her second girl, Teresa here from ()rem for the weekend They put everything in shipshape. Marie Hall had Mar ill., and Rulon Jolly and daughter here from Cedar City, they look a picnic lunch and made the loop around Pine Creek to see the Autumn leaves. Earl and Nethella Woolsey. Charles and Ann White and Bernice Johnson took the other loop around Main Canyon and the Griffin. The old Star Hall is no more; the last of the rubbish has been cleared away so it is just a memory Curly Hales has employment in Ephraim. Some people have bats in their belfry but Twila Mcl nelly had one in her basement. She and Kent tried to find it and when they could not they figured it had escaped, but one night as Twila was entertaining Hilda Roundy and Evadean Liston it came out of hiding and did a wild dance round the kitchen light. In trying to make a hasty exit Hilda almost took the door frame out and Evadean and Twila climbed over each other in getting out the back door Fortunately the bat followed them and was lost in it, darkness The town is enjoying the new sidewalks , if you happened to see Clarice Griffin doing some fancy dance steps she claims she was only killing ants on the new cement. Ivan and Nelda Willis and the Wanles Alveys went to St George for temple work Ttie Willis" had a weekend visit from Gam and Flla Willis of Kanab. they fished and enjoyed the fall color Freda Sink came home to gather up her earthly possessions and sell her trailer house, if she can She is on a deal to buy a smaller one close to her son She slays nights with Jim and Norma Iteming Norman and Ardis Christensen wnt to Milwaukee, Wisconsin tor the wedding of son Greg who exchanged vows with Beth Gate Zinger. then they all came here for a reception at the church Those from out of town were the parents of Ardis. Ixm and Relia Elliott from Wayne County, Nick Christensen and daughters Melissa. Yvonne and Mike Williams. Jo and Gary Danklef and family of Cedar City, Mr and Mrs George Chappell of Salt Lake City. The Christensens have a new grandson born to Vadis and Darwin of Douglas, Wyo Edwon Alvey took another group, or most of the same group to Broken Bow Arch. The scenery was rugged and beautiful, the hikers ranged in age from 37, which was what Edson said he was. and 86 which is the age of Earl Woolsey. The family is trying to decide what to do for Ila's best interest Dick Lyman was home with his family for the weekend The Marvin Mounteers had daughters Marva and Peggy home, also Cody's brother Bill Mounteer, all from Salt lke City Jim Crandall had Lloyd and Betty Elliott here to watt on him They think he is feeling better as he can complain now LaVern and Mary Griffin are home after visiting in Payson with Jimmy and Jolyn Peterson and family They went into Salt Lake City for medical supplies Dee Haws moved his trailer house home from Arizona for the winter Phyllis and Freeland Alvey had daughter Dawnie home for the weekend Clyde Christensen joined his family here for the christening of their son The proud father did the honors giving him the name of Clvde Stratton Burns Christensen Erma Gates went to Vernal for the christening of her new granddaughter born to Kay and wife. They gave her the name of Karen Ira Ruston mixed business with pleasure on a visit to California. He came home and when asked how he was he said he could not see, hear or feel but otherwise he was ok. He cancelled his subscription to Playboy magazine as the two last issues had the centerfold missing Morris and Neta Shirts had son Alpine of Cedar City here for the weekend. Bernice Johnson went as far as Richfield and stayed with her son while they went on then they picked her up to come home Her son Mannley came from California and spent the weekend hiking and visiting Neta Haycock went north with liVern and Mary Griffin and joined her daughter Janis for a tour of Cedar City, St. George and I as Vegas Wayne Banks is back to resume his fixup cam paign at the Dicey-Coombs home Dicey is some better but has to go back to her doctor Patrice and Brent Cnttam have a baby girl making proud grand parents of Klyn and Marlene Haws and the Doyle Cottams Ingra Richards rode the mail route for her annual inspection tour Ron Adamson and Quinn Griffin took nine boy scouts to Salt Lake City to spend a day at Lagoon They spent the night at the home of Ron's parents Bessie Griffin had a visit from two of her sister's girls; Roberta Duncam of Portland, Ore. and Dorothy Fletcher from Los Angeles She gave them a guided tour of scenic spots in this area. The Leo Wilsons had visitors from New Zealand. David and Marie Coory. Mr and Mrs. P. T. Riley from Arizona visited Ruth Peiroth and he got in touch with Alpine Shurtz and they went down the river to the Peter Schurtz property and did some surveying and history writing. Mr Riley is a historian The Shirts home was visited by Ersel and Myrtle, son Gail and daughter Enid of Vancouver, Wash. Ersel is an older brother to Morns They had been to Circleville to a funeral of Myrtle's brotlier. Harold Godferson. The whole Shirts clan planned a da at Boulder and beyond, so had breakfast at the cafe to save time and work They were so amused by the menus Ersel asked for one to take home to cheer his life in general.
