Show BPW CLUB MEETS WITH DISTRICT OFFICERS The regular meeting of the Panguitch Business and Professional Woman's Club was held at the Bryce Canyon Cafe, Wednesday evening, March 21st. President Dolly Ilenrie presided. This being the first day of Spring the dinner tables were beautifully 1 decked out in bowls of daffodils. Twenty nine "members and guests were present. Special guests included the Southern District officers: Mrs. Naomi Hughes, Director; Mrs. Patricia Rimpeau, Vice- (continued on back page) BPW MEET (continued) "Director, and Mrs. Pauline Rummeler, Secretary-Treasurer, all of Milford. Each spoke briefly to the group. Club Collect was led by Alice Ipson and Pledge of Allegiance was led by Velta Miller. Mrs. Margaret Farmer was introduced and welcomed into the club as a new member. This makes 43 names on the roll at this time, and everyone an active member. It was announced that the Spring Conference of the So-thcrn District will be held in Kanab on April 7th. It is hoped a large number of Pan-guitch members will be able to attend. Alice Ipson has been appointed as the BPW representative on the general committee for the proposed new gym. Hilda Gardner was asked to head a committee to bring our By-Laws up to date. She will ask other members to assist her. The program for this meeting was under the direction of the Public Relations Committee with Mary Henrie as chairman. She announced the following entertaining and informative program: two songs by Belle Cooper and Dora Clove, piano duet by Hope Truman and daughter Golda Jean; and a highly humorous reading was given by Ivah Cline entitled "Hats". She was accompanied on the piano by Jane Brown. A very interesting film on "Public Opinion" was shown. Hostesses for this very nice meeting were Mary Henrie, Ivah Cline, Fay Lynn and Jessie Worthington. State Convention Tho Program Book committee, headed by Dolly Henrie, asks the local business people for their helpand support in publishing this booklet for the State Convention. Tho sun is shining, the weather is warming up, everyone is feeling better; so please don't say 'no when you are asked to take 'an ad in the Convention Book. Committee members are Ingra Richards, Wanda Davis and Mary Henrie. ' Your cooperation is needed and appreciated. |
