Show Wreck Claims Lives Of Two Panguitch Men An accident shortly after noon Saturday, Oct. 25th, claimed the lives of two Panguitch men. Mark Bardwell was killed instantly when the jeep he was driving overturned north of Panguitch on Highway 89. The jeep was damaged a little. Quinn McAllister suffered injuries which resulted in his death Tuesday. The men, together witn Clifford LeFevre, nad been up to bring the radiator from the television tower motor in for repair. Mr. LeFevre had lett his own car at Sheriff Wood-ard's service station; on the return trip he picked up his own car and was following the jeep, when the accident occurred. He rushed Quinn to me hospital. Millard Marcellus tMark) Bardwell was born May 21, 1905 at Ness County, Kansas, to Millard Silas and Hattie B. Glaspy Bardwell. On June 21, 1941, he married Flora Howard at Huntington, Utah. In 1946, they moved to Panguitch, where Mark was employed by Ralph Hunt as a mechanic. In 1950, Mark start-his own business, Mark's Repair and Service, specializing in welding. Flora is the Garfield County Home Demonstration Agent. Survivors include: widow; son and daughters: Mark, 14; Linda, 11; Kathy 9. Funeral services for Mark Bardwell were held Tuesday in the South Ward Chapel with Bishop Kay Heywood presiding. Prayer in the home was given by Jay A. Riggs. Bruhn; song, "I Need Thee Every Hour", Choir J closing Prayer, Thos. Dodds. Burial was at Holliday, Utah, under direction of Neal S. Magleby Mortuary. |
