Mrs. Laurie Dea Holley ol Cannonville, Utah, Is pleased r ' to announce the marriage of her daughter Karmen Lael, to Bradley Dean Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon D. Smith of Idaho Falls. The wedding ceremony was performed Saturday, May 4, 1974, in the Provo LDS Temple. A reception in their honor being held that evening in the Cannonville Ward Cultural Hall. The young couple will make their home in Provo. Both are ' seniors at Brigham Young University where Karmen is majoring in Piano Performance and Bradley in Chemical En-glneering. QUILTER . BARKER Franklin and Aldyth Quil-ter announce the marriage of their daughter Carolyn to Wayne Barker, son of Amon and Edith Barker of Henrle-ville. The young couple will bo honohed at a reception May 4 fhom 8 to 10:30 p.m. in the Tropic Cultural hall at Tropic, Utah. Tnere will be a program and dancing. Everyone Is cor dlally invited to attend. LADIES SPRING BOWLING LEAGUE The redoubtable Rolling Pins keep rolling right along building up their lead from week to week in the Ladles Spring Bowling League. Tho third week found them with a 9-3 record. The Spring Streakers were in second place 7-5, and the 4 Gs &6, and V.I.P 2-10. High games were Kristie 177; Jolene 170; Violet 152. High Series; Mary C. 414; Eunice 411; Gaylene 386. Fourth week: Rolling Pilns 13 3; 4 Gs 9U-6H The Spring Streakers 7K-8V4; and V.I.P. 2H-13H. High games; Violet 174-157; Mary C. 157. High Series; Violet 454; Mary C. 425; Eunice 410. Fifth week; Rolling Pins 16-4; 4 Gs 9-lOH; Spring Streakers 8V4-11H; V.I.P. 6-14. High Games Mary B. 170; Gaylene 169; Violet 155. High Series; Mary B. 435; Violet 431; Gaylene 418. The sixth week brings us up to date with the Rolling Pins rolling right along toppling pins and opposition to lead 17-7; followed by 4 Gs 12H-11H ; Spring Streakers 9-14; V. I.P. 9-15. SIIURTZ COWLES Mr. and Mrs. Chase Shurtz, of Escalante, announce the marriage ol their daughter, Sara to Mr. Dennis O. Cowles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orvil D. Cowles, of Escalante. They were married on Thursday, May, 2, 1974, in the Mantl LDS Temple. A bridal shower was given in their honor at the home of the groom's grandmother, Mrs. D. H. Cowles. The bride graduated from Escalante High School. She has attended Snow College and Brigham Young University. She received her Associate Degree in Family living from BYU. The groom graduated from Escalante High School. He served an LDS mission to British Columbia, Canada. He has attended Snow College. He Is presently employed by Loff-land Brothers Drilling Company at Rock Springs, Wyom- -ing. The couple will make their home there. |
