Show Marriages Announced TO WED Miss Koye Bushncll Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Bush-nell of Henrieville announce the forthcoming marriage of , their daughter, Koye, to Mr. Stanley Lovell Mecham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malen A. Mecham of Tropic. The young couple will exchange vows in the St. George Temple on Saturday, June 8. CLIFTON IUGGS Mr. and Mrs. Pern Clifton of Winslow, Wash, announce the marriage of their daughter, Donna Mae, to Duard S. Riggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Or-. las Riggs of Hatch, on May 14 in the St. George Temple. Accompanying them to the temple were Mr. and Mrs. Or-- las Riggs( Mr. and Mrs. Pug-mire of Seattle, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Riggs of Lay-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Riggs of Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Campbell and Vi-late Barney of Hatch. The couple plan to make their home in Seattle, Wash. A wedding dance will be held in the Hatch Social Hall on May 25, at 9:00 p.m. A reception will be held June 1 in the CongreeationaT" church at Winslow. Wash. SAWYER PALMER Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Sawyer of Hatch announce the marriage of their daugn-ter, Clara, to Robert Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray J Palmer of Alton on May 18th, at G:00 in the evening. The bride wore a ballerina length white lace dress with a white satin undor-skirt; her veil was attached to a white velvet off-face hat. White carnations and red rose buds made up her bridal bouquet. Miss Laura Porter was maid of honor; Charles Palmer, brother of ihe bridegroom, was best man. A reception immediately following the wedding was held from 7:00 until 9:00 at the home of the bride's parents; a wedding dance followed in the Hatch Social Hall. Pugh, Ladd Holt, and Mrs. Roy Shakespear and boys. Wins Scholarship Mr Claude W. Adams Mrs. Ruth Tebbs reports 'that her son in law, Claude W. Adams, science and math-ematic instructor at Parowan High School, has been recipient of a Fellowship in Physics at Syracuse University; Syracuse, New York. He is one of approximately 50 science teachers in the U.S. who have received this award and will attend the summer session at the University to do graduate work in the field of physics. Mr. Adams received his BS degree from USAC, has done post graduate work at BYU. U of U, and at the U. of South-prn California'. He was a social science instructor and athletic coach at Panguitch High School for nine years; he went to Paro wan 12 years ago where ho has been in charge of the science department. His wife is the former Cecil Tebbs of Panguitch; they are the parents of two daughters and two sons. |
