Show Ruland Veater Rulnnd Venter Ruland Veater, 78, Kirkland, Ariz., died Oct 12, 1979 at his residence in Kirkland. He was born May 30, 1901, Circleville, to James Morgan and Maude Mae Kesler Veater. He married Bernice Houston, Sept. 28, 1920, Panguitch. Later solemnized in Provo LDS Temple. She died Oct. 6, 1971. Married Rebecca Ruth Williams, March 16, 1973, Prescott, Ariz. Solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He was a retired rancher and an elder in the LDS Church. Survivors: widow; four sons, four daughters, Ned R.; Mrs. Robert (Lydia Marie) Hardy, both American Fork; Harry Carl, Centerville; James Gerald, Ralph Houston, Mrs. Keith (Betty Louise) Frandsen, all Panguitch; Mrs. Gile (Margaret) Hardy, Mrs. Winoma Bradley, both Kanab. Ruland Garth and Joseph Harold Veater preceded him in death; 35 grandchildren, 36 great -grandchildren. Stepchildren, Margaret Ruth Ordesch, Grants Pass, Ore.; Robert Lee Williams, Richmond, Calif.; brother, Clark Veater, Kanab; sisters, Vera Perkins and Melita Schaffer, Spry. Funeral services were held Monday in the Panguitch Third LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Frank H. Henrie officiating. Gile Hardy offered the family prayer and Irene McEwen and Barbara I lea ton played prelude and postlude music. Royce Veater offered the invocation. Speaker was Ned R. Veater with remarks by Bishop Frank H. Henrie and tribute by Tamra Bartholomew. Music included selections by the choir; selection by Clark Veater family. Wallace Veater offered the benediction. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Robert Hardy offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Dale R. Veater, Dwight Hardy, Robert Veater, Michael Frandson, Ronald Veater, James Hardy, Claude Bradley and Richard Veater. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons. Lyman (Sandy) Davis Lyman (Sandy) Davis, 73, Panguitch, died Oct. 12, 1979 at his residence. He was born Feb. 9, 1906, Juarez, Mex. to Hyrum and Lasania Craig Davis. He married Lula Workman June 11, 1930, Circleville. He was a former employee of Tooele Or- dinance Depot and maintenance of the U.S. Forest Service. He was a retired carpenter and builder. Survivors: widow; four sons, two daughters, Robert L., Pleasant Grove; Hyrum "Joe", Richfield; Jim, Dennis, Mrs. Ralph (Darylene) Veater, Mrs. Ron (LuRea) Burton, all Panguitch. Wallace Craig preceded him in death, 21 grandchildren, 11 great -grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Panguitch Third Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Frank H. Henrie officiating. Bishop Robert L Davis offered the family prayer and Hope Truman and Irene McEwen played prelude music. Maloy Dodds offered the invocation. Speakers were Wally Veater and Bishop Robert L. Davis with remarks by Bishop Frank H. Henrie. Music included selections by the choir, vocal solo, Jon Talt; vocal trio, Dennis, Bob and Ron. Brent Davis offered the benediction. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Craig Davis offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Craig Davis, Jody Davis, Brent Davis, Bob Burton, Daryl Veater, Rob Veater. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Burton, Jeff Veater, Bobby Davis, Colby Davis, Kip Davis, Shane Davis and Wally Veater. Ray Workman HATCH - Ray Work man, 60, died in October, 1979, and funeral services were held in Hatch Oct. 15. He was born Nov. 21, 1918, to George Albert, Jr. ana .va rean uove Workman. Funeral services were held in the Hatch Ward LDS Chapel with Karl Lowder conducting. Max Johnson offered the family prayer and Noreen Evans played prelude and postlude music. Garth C. Workman offered the invocation. Speaker was Wiley Huntington with eulogy by Max Johnson and remarks by Karl Lowder. Music included vocal solo by Brent Leach; vocal trio by John Tart, Gayle Synderguard and DeNeece Anderson; vocal solo by Courntey Syrne. Keith Workman offered the benediction. Burial was in the Hatch Cemetery where Pete Workman offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were sons-in-law and grandsons. |
