He was the Mopted son of Hal D. and Ophelia Hatch Jensen. He was a student at Antimony School. He m a member of the LDS Church. Survivors: parents, brothers, listers, Duane, Grand Junction, Colo.; Kendal, Richfield; Mrs. Randy (Kathryn) Could, Eva Jane Jensen, both Antimony; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Jensen, Sigurd. Funeral services were Friday in the Antimony Ward chapel with Bishop Charlie Brindley, officiating. Duane Jensen offered the family prayer and Carol Black played prelude and postlude music. Van Wiley offered the Invocation. Speakers were Ned Burr and Bishop Brindley. Music included a selection by school children and Burns Black. Rod Black offered the benediction. Burial was in the Antimony Cemetery by Springer Mortuary, Richfield, where Randy Gould offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Dick Robison, Mateland Nay, Duane Jensen, John M. Jensen, Lawaun Hatch and Kendal Jensen. Holbert Smith KSCLANATE Holbert Basil Smith. 37. Escalante, died Oct. 22. 1976, at his home. He was born Sept. IS, 1939, Chinook, Kans., to Holbert Lige and Wilda Roc Smith. He married Bonnie Lou Davis, March 19. 1958, Provo; later solemnized in the St. George IJ)S Temple. He was employed by Escalante Town. Survivors: wife; son, Robert Gary, both Escalante. Funeral services were Monday in the Escalante Ward chapel with Bishop Sharon Dale marsh, conducting. Ray L. Alvey offered the family prayer and Dawn Griffin played prelude music. Starns Mecham gave the Invocation. Speakers were Bishop Marsh and Wallace Woolsey. Music included selections by Bill and Dawn Girffin and Matlenc Haws. Lynn Gates gave the benediction. Burial was in the Escalante Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, where Vernon Spencer offered the dedicatory prayer. Military rites were by the Escalante American Legion Post. Pallbearers were Smith Alvey, Arnold Alvey, Paul Cardon, Cecil Griffin, Millard Davis and McKay Bailey. |
