They were married mar-ried in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 17, 1945. On March 16, 1995, the Henries returned to the temple of the marriage mar-riage and attended a session with their children. A party was held in their honor that same evening in Pleasant Grove. The event was attended at-tended by eighty family members and friends. It was a joyous occasion occa-sion with a dinner and a tribute to their parents by the Henrie children. Donna Price of Provo surprised everyone with a puppet show. The most touching moment was when the children presented a gift of new livingroom furniture to their par-, ents. Don and Martha have three surviving sur-viving children, Donald Henrie of Pleasant Grove; Erma Galloway of Panguitch and Linda Thomas of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Two daughters, Saundra and Lori Ann are deceased. They are also blessed with eight granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. The Henrie's were very happy to hear that granddaughter Connie Henrie, daughter of the Donald Henries, has been called to serve a San Diego, Calif. LDS mission. Her farewell was held Sunday, April 23 and she leaves on her mission April 28. |
