Mrs. Maureen Dean, sister of the. bride was matron of. honor; Judy Griffin, Jo Os-born and Kathleen Marsh were bridesmaids; Laurecn Willis wj's flower girl. Best man was Boyd J. Alvey, ushering were Lowell Willis and Douglas Mclnelly. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Mclnelly BAILEY SHURTZ Miss Elaine Bailey became the bride of Raymond Dean Shurtz in nuptial rites Saturday, June 20 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gail C. Bailey of Escalante. The ceremony was performed by Garfield Stake President J. Clyde Spencer. Mr. Shurtz is a son of Calvin Shurtz, also of Escalante. The newlyweds greeted relatives and friends at a reception in the Escalante South ward recreation hall that eve-ing. Mrs. Sandra Porter, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor, with another sister, Gloria Bailey as attendant. Flower girls were Teresa Porter and Natalie Bailey. Best man was Pole Griffin with ushers McKay Bailey and Hal Shurtz. The bride wore a full length dress of white silk organza hand embroidered in Japan. She carried a white caranation lei flown from Hawaii. Her going away suit was gold colored silk from Thailand. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Shurtz ENGAGED Miss Linda Ann Bishop Mayor and Mrs. Theral V. Bishop of Logan announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Ann, to Donald H. Steele, son of Mrs. Nina H. Steele of Panguitch. The wedding will take place August 10 In the Logan LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening at the Colonial Mansion. An open house will be held the following week in Panguitch. Miss Bishop graduated from Utah State University on June 6 and is employed at the LDS Primary Children's Hospital as Director of Recreational Ther-. apy. Mr. Steele is attending the University of Utah College of Law; he has fulfilled a mission for the LDS Church in Eastern Canada. Following the wedding they plan to make their home in Salt Lake City. |
