Show ENGAGED Mr. and Mrs. Edson Alvey announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Arvonne Alvey, to Dee Whittaker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Whittaker of Circlcvllle. Miss Alvey is a graduate oi Escalante High School, has filled an L D S Mission in the Southern States, and has been teaching school at Murray since graduating as an honor student from College of Southern Utah. Mr. Whittaker is a graduate of Piute High School. He returned from an LDS Mission in the North Western states last fall and has been attending the University of Utah. ENGAGED 1 ' Mr. and Mrs. p.. Ray Tebbs announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Sue, to Broyce Jacobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Jacobs of Caldwell, Alberta, Canada. Broyce has filled an LDS Mission to Norway; both have been students at BYU the past year. They are planning an early fall wedding and will return to BYU this fall. AN INVITATION Mr. and Mrs. Boyce A. Truman extend an invitation to everyone to attend a wedding reception on Friday, June' 18, from 8 until 10 o'clock in the evening at the Panguitch So-cial Hall in honor of Golda Jean and Ronald F. Orton. Otho and Leah LeFevre of Salt Lake were here for Memorial Day and visited their sisters and brothers, Belle Boy-ter, Verda Tebbs, Peter and Clifford LeFevre, and enjoyed seeing their many friends in Panguitch. Mary Stubbs, also a sister, was in from Bryce Canyon where she is now employed, as manager of the Curio at the Lodge. TEBBS GUYMON St. George Temple was the setting Saturday for the marriage of Barbara Tebbs and Jim Guymon. The Temple Pres. Rudger C. Atkin officiated. A reception honored the couple that evening. A wedding breakfast also honored the couple at the bridegroom's home in Parowan. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur R. Tebbs of Panguitch. Jim is the son of Mr; and Mrs. James H. Guymon of Parowan. Attending the bride were Mrs. Judi Roe, matron of honor, Miss Bonnie Bensen, Mlss LeeAnn Farnsworth, Miss Ber- than Riggs, bridesmaids, and. Marilyn and Cindy Tebbs, flower girls. James Bland was best man. Lloyd Adams, David Topham, James Robinson and Reldon Matheson ushered. After a honeymoon to Arizona the couple plans to reside in Logan. Delwin Thomas Owens, former Panguitch resident, died at his home in Josepn. Making the trip. for his services held Tuesday at Joseph were Scott and Ada Worthen, Verd and Faye Worthen, Bishop D.Kern Owens, Datus Owens, Wallace and Billie Miller, Frank and Ingra Richards, Edra Miller, Floyd and Quinn Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Crosby, Mr. and Mrs. Art Crosby, Mrs. Mae Hatch, Mrs. Jennie Johnson, Mrs. Louise. Englestead. Mrs. Alva Johnson is home after spending several weeks up at Salt Lake. While up north she visited at Long Mount, Colo with the Bobby Reid family, the Bill Johnson family at Wor-,land Wyo. Mrs. Jean Crowther and three boys of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Mrs. Johnson. |
