Show Area Obituaries JoAnn Orton PANGUITCH Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 10 for Joann Howard Orton, 59, Panguitch, who passed away Dec. 1, 2001 with Bishop Michael L. Tebbs officiating. offici-ating. A cousin, Mark Bardwell, offered of-fered the family prayer prior to the service. Prelude and postlude music was provided by sister-in-law, Barbara Orton and Faun Guillette. Martha Henrie, a friend, gave the invocation, followed by a musical selection, "Oh, I Had Such A Pretty Dream, Mama," by the Combined Panguitch Ward Choirs, accompanied by Faun Guillette and directed by Marilyn Bulkley. Tributes were offered by friends Carolyn Crofts and Jill Nowers, with a poem by another friend, Mabel Harris. The combined com-bined choir sang, "Each Life That Touches Ours For Good." A daughter, Nida Blair, spoke, followed by remarks , from Bishop Michael L. Tebbs. Daughter-in-law, Annette Orton, Clarence Edwin Twitchell ANTIMONY Our loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, grand-father, great-grandfather, brother broth-er uncle and friend, Clarence Edwin Twitchell, age 78 passed away, Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at the LDS hospital with his loving wife and children by his side. He will be greatly missed. Clarence was born Oct. 8, 1923 in Paragonah, Utah to William Henry and Nancy Ellen Openshaw Twitchell. The family fami-ly later moved to Widtsoe and then to Antimony in 1936. He graduated from Piute High School and Seminary in Circleville in 1942. He married Mona Rae Mclnelly August 29, 1948 in Junction, Utah. They were married 53 years. He served in the Army in the South Pacific Islands during World War II. He worked for the Garfield School District for 32 years as a custodian and bus driver. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing with his family. He adored his grandchildren Clarence is survived by his wife, Antimony; eight children: Robert (Jane) Twitchell, Cedar City; Debra (Neil) Aronoff, West Valley; Leon Twitchell, Antimony; Lloyd (Donna) Twitchell, Cedar City; Dick (Peggy) Twitchell, Monroe; Jerry (Shelly) . Twitchell, PAGEST. JOHNS, Ariz. Joan Palmer, age 49, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001 at her home near St. Johns, Ariz. She was born Dec. 17, 1951 in Panguitch, Utah to Rose Elizabeth Smith Palmer and Clarence Verle Palmer. She graduated from Page High School in 1970. Joan was a witty person with a keen sense of humor. She loved to dance, and enjoyed crocheting, cro-cheting, quilting, and reading. She was very compassionate, and was always ready to help anyone in need, regardless of ; the circumstances. Joan is survived by her companion com-panion Richard Scott of St. Johns; parents Verle and Rose Palmer of Page; brother Verle Kenyon (Shannon) Palmer of Page; sister-in-law Kolene Kim Klahr of Durango, Colo.; nephews Travis Alan Palmer and Dale Eric Pinger; and nieces Brandi Kym Palmer and LaVonne Renee Pinger. She was preceded in death by identical identi-cal twin sister Jean Palmer who offered the benediction. Dedication of the grave was offered by son, Jason Orton with interment in the Panguitch Cemetery. Flower girls included Tawnya Hasse, Tasha Hasse, Kesley MacCallum and Kapri Orton. Pallbearers were Jason Orton, Jantzen Orton, Kevin Hasse, David Blair, Mark Orton and Dave Orton. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Lee Garland, Robert Howard, John Howard, Kent Howard, Willis Howard, Clark Howard, Doug Jensen, Gary Orton, Bob Orton, John Houston, Gene Anderson, Tom Johnson, Carl Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Duane Orton, Harold Orton, Dale Orton, Wally Orton, Denny Orton, Kenny Orton, Glenn Leach, Mark Bardwell, LaMont Olsen and Scott Douglas. Compassionate services were rendered by the Panguitch 2nd Ward LDS Relief Society. Funeral directors: Neal S. Friends and family may call on Friday from 10:30 a.m. tol2:30 p.m. at the Antimony LDS Ward prior to services. Interment will be in the Widtsoe Cemetery with military mil-itary rites by the V.F.W. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001 at the Page LDS Fifth Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Henrie ville Cemetery on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001 at 11 a.m. under the direction direc-tion of Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab, Utah. |
