Show Parley Henderson Johnson PANGUITCH, Utah Parley Henderson Johnson, 87, of Panguitch, Pan-guitch, died Feb. 23, 2001 in the Garfield Memorial Hospital, Panguitch, Utah. He was born June 8, 1913 in Cannonville, Utah to Parley Pratt and Sarah Marie Johnson. He married Metta Marie Schow, June 4, 1937 in Panguitch. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Sept. 10, 1945. She died June 20, 1992. He was an active member of the LDS church all of his life. He was a veteran of WWII and was also involved in many civic affairs. He was the Number One fan of the Panguitch Bobcats for many many years. He is survived by his two sons, Robert H. Johnson of Mountain View, Wyo., and John P. (Jean) Johnson of Monroe, Utah; nine grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Maude Stevens of Salt Lake City, Winifred Cook of American Fork, Rondeau Johnson of Santa Monica, Calif.. Merlin P. Johnson of Price, and Lavell K. Johnson of Garden Grove. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, Cal and Joel. j - ' , 2A .1 Parley Johnson Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. In the Panguitch 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 200 North 400 East. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Panguitch on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery with Military Rites by the Panguitch American Legion Post 25. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary. Richfield, Utah. Marcus Earl Gleave ANTIMONY, Utah Marcus Earl Gleave, 90, of Antimony died Feb. 26, 2001 in Panguitch, Utah. He was born Aug. 9, 1910 in Coyote (Antimony), Utah to Robert Rob-ert Barrowman and Edith Maud Snyder Gleave. He married Marguerite Mar-guerite Nielsen, May 7, 1935 at Widtsoe, Utah. The marriage was solemnized June 2, 1963 in the Manti LDS Temple. She preceded him in death Dec. 13, 1999. In his earlier years, Marcus was a Government Trapper and farmer. The Gleaves moved to Payson in 1937 when the government was evacuating families from Widtsoe because of the drought. In Payson he worked for Pacific State Pipe Company and farmed, he owned and operated a sheep herd, and worked for the Utah Department of Transportation as a car counter. Marcus was a very hard worker and was very honest. He was a member of the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of the Gospel. He loved his family. When he and Marguerite retired, they moved back to Antimony where they both worked for Bryce Canyon National Park and he began trapping again. He is survived by children: Marcus Calvin (Barbara) Gleave of Antimony, Charleen Brown, Robert Levere (Joleen) Gleave, Chaunna Marie (Mike) Zimonja, all of Salt Lake City, Karen Maud (Van) Hansen of Sandy and Julie Ann (Jim) Walker of Eureka, Nev.; 22 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; brothers and sisters: i'i, " X i, x ;..:;" : 1 1 Together Again Marcus and Marguerite Gleave Virgil Gleave of Orem, Merthell Gleave of Willow Creek, Calif, Irva (Pete) Sudweeks, Marva Allen and Jack (Betty Kay). Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah. Thomas Orton Talbot PANGUITCH, Utah Thomas Orton Talbot, 82, passed away Feb. 24, 2001 at his home in Panguitch. He was born in Panguitch, Sept. 29, 1918 to John Taylor and Celeste Orton Talbot. He married Myrtle Cooper, Nov. 1, 1945 in Caliente, Nevada. She died Dec. 6, 1989. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Orton was a carpenter by trade. He worked on many building projects in and around the Western United States. Projects included the Hoover Dam, Glen Canyon Dam, numerous movie sets, highways, homes, government and private business buildings. He was member of the United Brotherhood Carpenters Union. He was a veteran of WWTI. He was a member of the LDS Church where he enjoyed singing in the 2nd Ward Choir. He is survived by children: Jean Court of Taylorsville; Michael (Cindy) Talbot of Panguitch; Jo-Ann Jo-Ann (Thomas) Foertsch of Hebron, Ky.; John (Lori) Talbot of Panguitch; Pan-guitch; and Mark Talbot of Panguitch; Pan-guitch; 15 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Hilma Excell of Panguitch; brother, Walter D.
