Show Area Obituaries Bonnie Lou Davis Smith CEDAR CITY, Utah -Bonnie Lou Davis Smith, 62, of Cedar City, Utah, passed away Sept. 22, 2004, in St. George, Utah. Bonnie Lou was born Jan. 23, 1942, in Salt Lake City, to William "Billy" Leslie and Minnie Jane Alvey Davis. She married Holbert Basil Smith in Provo, Utah, March 19, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1976. She is survived by her son, Robert G. Smith, Cedar City; and her sister, Leda Mae (Alfred "Al") Foster, Bryce, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holbert; parents, William "Billy" and Minnie Davis; a baby boy, Steven William; and a baby girl. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, in the Mountain View LDS Chapel, ; ; -t ) , f . I ' , ; . Bonnie Lou Smith 370 North 4050 West, Cedar City. Burial was in the Escalante Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Gunnison. William K. Sargent William K. Sargent, 75, son of Fred and Rhoana Sargent, passed away peacefully Sept. 16, 2004 in New York. He was born May 27, 1929 in Panguitch, Utah. Bill was a kind, generous and loving son and brother, loved by all who knew him. He had a great appreciation for music and was an accomplished painist, "Clair d' Lune" and "Rhapsody in Blue" were among his favorites. He attended the University of Utah and the McCune School of Music. He served honorably with the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan and Germany. He was a dedicated employee at the Hotel Utah for 20 years. His family appreciates the care given to Bill by the dedicated dedicat-ed staff of the care center where he spent his last years. He is survived by his sisters Effie Cherrington and Lucille Sargent of Provo and sister-in-law Emma Griggs of Orem, and many nieces and nephews. He is 1 Bill Sargent preceded in death by a brother Rulon and sisters Maxine Butterfield and Elsie Spendlove. A gathering for family and friends was held at 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. Riverton. Graveside services will be at the. Panguitch Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. |
