Show Area Obituaries 1 Norman Littlefield PANGUITCH Funeral services were held in Tropic Monday, Dec. 17 for Norman Mazel Littlefield, 86, who died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born Nov. 9, .1915 in Henrieville, Utah to Waldo William and Sarah Estelle Savage Littlefield. On July 10, 1936, he married Clella Hall in Tropic, Utah. They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. Norman spent most of his life in Tropic. He served in the US Army in WWII. As a young man, he worked in the Utah State Parks. He retired from the Operating Engineers Union. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved animals, hunting, hunt-ing, fishing and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Clella of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sons and two daughters: Marie (Jerry) Zohner of Las Vegas, Nev.; Norm Littlefield of Las Vegas, Nev.; Jay (Charlotte) Littlefield of N. Las Vegas, Nev.; Lanny (Gloria) Littlefield of Henderson, Nev.; Judeane (Daniel) Carter of N. Las Vegas, Nev.; 26 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis,' four brothers and three sisters. Officiating at funeral services was Bishop Scott Barton. The family prayer was offered by grandson Scott Littlefield. Granddaughter Virginia Littlefield provided the prelude and postlude music. The congregation sang "Abide With Me, 'Tis Eventide" followed by the invocation, given by Dennis Littlefield, a grandson. Steve Zohner paid tribute to his grandfather with a eulogy followed by a musical selection by the great-grandchildren. Longtime former neighbor Stan Mecham also paid tribute after which Ron Littlefield and Dennis Littlefield sang "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine". Son Lanny Littlefield gave the final tribute to his father followed fol-lowed by closing remarks by Bishop Barton. The congregation closed with "God Be With You Til We Meet Again" and grandson Kody Littlefield offered the benediction. benedic-tion. Pallbearers were Steven Zohner, Devon Zohner, Kerry Littlefield, Kody Littlefield, Dennis Littlefield, Darryl Littlefield, Lanny Littlefield, Jr., Norman Zohner. Kelly Littlefield, Keith Littlefield, Ronald Littlefield, Scott Littlefield, Eddie Littlefield and Darric Carter. Interment was in the Tropic Cemetery where son Jay Littlefield offered the dedicatory prayer. Funeral services were under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, Logandale, Nev. Elsie Goulding HENRIEVILLE Our dear mother, Elsie Quilter Middleton Goulding, 87, of Henrieville, Utah, was relieved of her physical physi-cal suffering on Dec. 15, 2001, when she returned to be with her Heavenly Father and to the arms of her eternal companion. She was born on Aug. 13, 1914, in Winter Quarters, Utah, the oldest child of Robert Alderson and Esther Quilter Middleton. They later moved to Henrieville where she lived the rest of her life. She married her sweetheart, Kenneth Edwin Goulding, May 14, 1935, in the St. George LDS Temple. They enjoyed 61 years together until he passed away on Oct. 2, 1996. They loved dancing danc-ing and anything else they could do together. When Mom's health declined, Dad was her loving caregiver. Mom was a loving and caring person who devoted her life to serving and helping others. She loved the LDS gospel of Jesus Christ and was always willing to do whatever she was asked, including serving for 12 years as Relief Society President. She was a hard worker in all she did whether it was on the farm, at Bryce Canyon National Park, or as a cook at the Bryce Valley Schools for many years. She enjoyed doing handwork and reading. Her family loved to gather around her table to enjoy her' delicious homemade dinners. We always knew there would be homemade bread for us and anyone any-one we brought home. Our home was filled with love of music. Mom organized and directed the choir of the Henrieville Ward. She had a beautiful alto voice. Mom devoted her life to caring car-ing for her family. She is survived by her children,' chil-dren,' Kenneth (Jo Anne) Goulding; Wynona (Ernie) Henderson; Steven (Kathleen) Goulding, all of Henrieville; Kathryn (David) Pollock, Tropic; Dick (Jane) Goulding, Delta; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; sisters, . Mary Ott, Esther Barney, and ; Eliza Porter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her eternal compan-' ion, Kenneth; brothers: Robert -and George; and granddaughter, Lori. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at 1 : p.m. in the Henrieville LDS Ward Chapel, where friends ' may call on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial : will be in the Henrieville Cemetery.
