Show ! 1 Area Obituaries Mamie Norton Talbot PANGUITCH - Mamie Norton Talbot, 79, of Panguitch, passed away, June 5, 2002, in Panguitch. She was born July 7, 1922, in Panguitch, to Albert "Allie" and Agnes "Aggie" Miller Norton. She married Stanley Elias Talbot, Oct. 3, 1940, in Panguitch. The marriage mar-riage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple, June 18, 1941. He preceded her in death Aug. 29, 1976. Mamie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many church positions including Relief Society President and as a full time missionary. mis-sionary. She was a member of ' the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and worked as a nurse's aide and newspaper columnist. Her faith was unshakeable. She loved children and loved to laugh. She taught the gospel by the way she lived her life. She is survived by her children: chil-dren: Karen T. (Dennis) Williams, South Jordan; Barbara Talbot, Panguitch; S. Alan (Michelle) Talbot, Enoch; G. Lyle (Katheryn) Talbot, Sandy; Steven N. (Susan) Talbot, Escondido, Calif.; Richard K. (Marilyn) Talbot, Orem; 27 grandchildren; 15 great-grand- - Mamie Talbot children; brother: McLaine (Dorothy) Norton, Brigham City; sisters-in-law: Dora Norton, Provo and Charlene Norton, West Bountiful. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Stanley; son, Boyd E Talbot; brothers: Emil A Norton, V Miller Norton, Leo Norton; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Rebecca Talbot. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, 2002, in the Panguitch 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was held in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Anna Gladys Russell Griffin TROPIC - Anna Gladys Russell Griffin, 93, of Tropic, passed away peacefully at the Uintah Care Center in Vernal, June 4, 2002. She was born Dec. 10, 1908, in Milan, Miss., to William and Ethel Rhoads Russell. She came to Utah when she was 17-years-old and married mar-ried Theron Griffin in the Salt , Lake LDS Temple on May 5, 1925. He preceded her in death, Oct. 10, 1979. They had seven children: Carta (Rick) Day; Carol (Ron) Evans; Donna (Frank) Dexter, all of Vernal; Billie (Bob) Martinez, Crystal River, Flor.; 1 Gloria (Darr) Hatch, Moab; Kay Griffin and Terry Griffin. Anna is survived by five daughters; 1 1 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by - her husband, Theron; two sons, Terry and Kay; granddaughter, Wanda; and grandson Bo. The family would like to !! thank the staff of the Uintah I . ,. i I , .
