He was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Monroe to Marvin Albert and ; Flossie Alvina Lott Dalton. He C! married Hope Evans Sept. 1, 1939, Hatch; solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. H He was a veteran of World Warn and served in the Civilian Conser- m valion Corps. He was a heavy equipment operator retired from Local No. 3. He was an antique collector, avid hunter and fly fisherman, fish-erman, excellent dancer and a great conversationalist who loved to visit I and make friends. H Survivors: wife, Hatch; sons and s daughters, Mrs. Pete (Faun) Childers, Auburn, Calif.; Mrs. Gilbert (Shan) Clark, Kanab; G. Bruce, Panguitch; Dennis Jay, Las ;: 1 Vegas; Mrs. Wayne (Pam) Stubbs, a Parowan; brothers, Ned, Las Vegas; Bud "Al", Placerville, Calif.; Duke, i . Monroe; sisters, Mrs. Boyd (Vee) Barney, Yerrington, Nev.; Fawn Rothlesberger, Kingman, Ariz.; Mrs. Walt (Molly) Reynolds, Jamestown, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at the Hatch LDS Ward chapel , with Bishop Layton Barney con- I I ducting. The family prayer was offered, of-fered, by Burk Childers, prelude and postlude music by Barbara Dalton, invocation by Gale Wilcock, and eulogy by Ramon Swapp. A vocal quartet, Debbie Davis, Dwayne Davis, Gale Davis and Joanie Davis, sang "Green, Green Grass of Home," followed by speaker Garn Huntington. Darol Allred and ; Dorothy Huntington sang J "Somewhere My Love" followed by ; speaker Gene Wilson. Bishop Bar-; Bar-; ney offered closing remarks and Brent Leach sang "Down in the Little Green Valley." Larry Phlieger offered the benediction. Pallbearers were Pete Childers, Gib Clark, Wayne Stubbs, Bud Dalton, Duke Dalton and Ned Dalton. Dal-ton. Honorary bearers were Gale Wilcock, Harry Bauer, Karl Lowder, Doug Tomlinson, Bernell Crofts, and Thel Gubler. Wayne Stubbs dedicated the grave with interment in Hatch Cemetery. Mayo R. McAllister Mayo R. McAllister, 61, died Oct. 4, 1987, in Reno, Nev. He was born Jan. 17, 1926 Panguitch, to Martin and Olga Clark McAllister. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Winton Post No. 7792 Winton, Calif. He lived in Panguitch until he entered the U S Air Force in 1948. His wife, the former Janet Williams, whom he married while stationed in England died in 1979. Survivors include his son, Mark McAllister; two daughters, Tammy Brown and Yetta McAllister, all Winton; step-mother, Grace McAllister, brothers, Carl McAllister and Arthur McAllister, all Albuquerque, N. M.; and sister! Linda McAllister, Anchorage,' Alaska. Funeral services were held Oct. 9 at the Atwater Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn at Atwater, Calif. Officiating was Bishop Reed Hanson of the Atwater LDS ward with music by Etta Hanson and Jackie Adams. The eulogy was delivered by Carl McAllister. Pallbearers were members of the Winton VFW Post No. 7792, with military honors. Interment was in the Winton City Cemetery. Sherry Davis Sherry Lucille Guymon Moore Davis, 50, died Oct. 13, 1987 at West Valley City. She was born Aug. 2, 1937, Panguitch, to Harold and Afton Judd Guymon. She attended El Camino College, Gardena, Calif, where she majored in accounting and secretarial skills. She was married mar-ried to John Acoam Moore, July 20, 1956, Los Angeles; later divorced. di-vorced. She was married to Lewis Ambert Davis, Dec. 18, 1969 at Bellflower, Calif.; later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. A member "of the LDS Church, she served in many auxiliaries, including in-cluding Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. She was president presi-dent of the Relief Society in the Lawndale, Calif. LDS Ward, 1965-67. 1965-67. Survivors: husband, sons, John A. Moore, Jr. and Duane H. Moore, all Salt Lake City; parents, Tay-lorsville; Tay-lorsville; step-children, Mrs. Dert (Monica) Fredericks, Greg Davis, Morgan Davis, and Mrs. Luis (Maria) Nones; eight grandchildren; brother, Harold Jack Guymon, Phoenix. Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary chapel in Salt Lake City with Bishop Monty Peterson conducting. The family prayer was offered by Bishop Richard Judd with prelude and postlude music by Lois Janke. The invocation was by Norm Cornell. Cor-nell. Brad Shakespeare gave the eulogy eu-logy followed by a vocal solo by Tom Stam, "In the Garden." Speaking was Bishop Dennis Engh with a musical selection by the Holladay 23rd Ward Young Women Chorus, "Love One Another." Final remarks were made by Norman Henrie, followed by "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," vocal solo by Tom Stam. The benediction was offered by Myrtle Shakespeare. Pallbearers were Brad Shakespeare, Shake-speare, Larry Shakespeare, Dale Henrie, Chris Judd, Jack Guymon, Russell Guymon, Tom Judd, and Judd Shakespeare. At the gravesite on Sunday, Oct. 17, a graveside prayer was offered by Brye Kenney with remarks by Bishop Monty Peterson. Dedication of the grave was made by Lewis Davis. Interment was in Panguitch City Cemetery. |
