Show ( fiREfl OBiTtlffRIES )) Mayo Zabriskie ELSINORE Mayo Orrel Zabriskie, 72, Elsinore, died on October 11, 1992 in Price, following follow-ing a courageous battle with multiple multi-ple sclerosis. He was bom April 30, 1920 in Elsinore to Orrel and Delilah Gul-branson Gul-branson Zabriskie. He married Julia Ju-lia Helen Willis on July 5, 1938 in Panguitch. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He served a mission for the LDS Church in the Northwestern United States and held the position of high priest. He served honorably in the Navy during WWII. He owned and operated a sawmill at Pine Lake until 1954, at which time he was employed by the National Park Service. He held NPS positions throughout the west, was a chief of maintenance and received re-ceived numerous certificates of achievement and awards for his many inventions used throughout the Park Service. He is survived by his wife, three daughters; Orla Zabriskie and Mrs. David (Trudie) Nielson, both of Richfield, and Mrs. Doug (Debra) Heidcman, Price; a brother, Lloyd Zabriskie; sisters, Orlene Chesnut and and Meredith Larsen and five grandchildren. Private family memorial services were held. |
