Show Joseph Owens Dies At Las Vegas Funeral Held At Panguitch Thursday Joseph Owens, 74, died of natural causes Dec. 7 at the home of a daughter in Las Vegas. Ho was born Dec. 3, 1890 in Henrieville to William T. and Mary Emily Jones Owens. On Dec. 21, 1914 he married Ruth Eliza Dodds in Panguitch. The marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. She died May 13, 1961. Mr. Owens was a sheepman and a rancher. Survivors:, sons, daughters: Mrs. Adrian (Georgie) McCuff, Douglas Wayne, both Salt Lake City; Ted D., Casper, Wyo.; Joseph John, Glayd T., Mrs. J. L. (Lola) Barton, Mrs. James (sa-ra) Brady, Mrs. Lewis (Betty) Brown, all of Las Vegas; 49 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brothers, sisters: Mrs Marlon (Nelly) Englestead, St. George; Ray,. Delta; Mrs. Scott (A d a) Worthen, Panguitch; Waldo, Delwin, Mrs. Richard (Melda) Beck, all of Joseph; Rayfl, Salt Lake City; Mrs. D. C. (Ferol) Hendrickson, Mrs. Gwen Varner, both of Ogden. Funeral services were held Dec. 10 in the Panguitch South ward chapel. The prayer in the home was by Ray Owens. Prelude and postlude music, Irene McEwen and Nina H. The grave was dedicated by Jack Owens; burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary. |
