Show Manrtta Prince Henrie Native to Note 100th Birthday An open house to honor Manetta Prince Henrie on the occasion of her 100th birthday will be held Dec. 29 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roger (Hilma) Honcyman, 579 S. Utah Avenue, Provo, Utah. Friends and relatives of Mrs. Henrie are. invited to call between noon and 9 p.m. on that day. She was born at Panguitch, Dec. 29, 1884 to William and Louisa Lee Prince, pioneer settlers of Panguitch. She married James Arthur Henrie, Sept. 10, 1906. He is now deceased. They had six children: James Arthur, Jr., deceased; Norma (Mrs. Ed Reich) and Hilma (Mrs. Roger Honeyman), Provo; Dan, Cedar City; Valda Mrs. Allan Johnson), Reseda, Calif.; Cecil (Mrs. Wayne Pomeroy ), Mesa, Ariz. Mrs. Henrie has 29 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren; and 25 greatgrandchildren. She has led an active life as an avid genealogist, having published five books on the lives of the Henrie family, the Prince family, the descendants of John D. Lee and . histories of herself, husband and parents. She has always been an active member of the LDS church in all organizations and taught the Spiritual Living lesson for many years with great dedication. For the past 16 years, she has made her home with her daughter Hilma in Provo. |
